Recipe Round Up - March 17, 2008
I had take-out last night from here, which I highly recommend in a neighborhood over-saturated with mediocre Thai restaurants. I really needed a break from cooking/cleaning/etc and I wanted to sit around in spandex and finish off a bottle of wine.
Also the weather has been so gorgeous it’s been hard to stay couped up in the kitchen. I went for a long walk from Cobble Hill to Park Slope through Boerum Hill and Gowanus via the 3rd Street bridge on Saturday. I would post the photos but I haven’t quite figured out how to use my camera yet and all of them came out overexposed. I definitely need lessons.
One thing I’ve really enjoyed about starting a food blog is perusing the countless other blogs already out there. I had no idea that so many well written and interesting food blogs existed and that these “foodies” have very well established communities. It’s really very fascinating. I have been slowly gathering a list of blogs (about 50 so far) that have piqued my interest and plan to keep reading them to determine which ones I find most useful. Tons of blogs have really long blog rolls, but I want to develop a reliable list including descriptions of my most liked.
I’ve been linking articles and random food news, but below I am going to list some recent recipes I’ve uncovered that I would eventually like to try. For the baked goods, that will probably never happen, but the other stuff just might.
